Killen Falls is a wonderful little swimming hole located about a 20-minute drive from my home. From the carpark, it’s a short walk to the falls and once you arrive, you would think you were miles away from civilization, as the area is surrounded by some of the last remaining intact Big Scrub rainforest in the region. It’s a magnificent spot to cool off in summer, either by swimming in the waterhole, or relaxing in the open cave behind the 10m waterfall.

This image was taken just a couple of hours after a sunrise shoot at Boulder Beach (See the Light), which was the first time I had ventured out to shoot anything after many weeks of COVID-19 lockdown. As it was winter, and much too cold for swimming, I had the whole location all to myself. It was an amazing morning, and the perfect way to get back into the swing of shooting.
