This image is a long exposure capture from one of my favourite Byron Bay beaches. North Belongil beach is a little longer to walk to than most beaches in the area and as a result, generally has a lot less people there. I often bring couples here for engagement or wedding shoots, but rarely do I come just to capture the scenery alone.

On this day, I decided to change that and I captured a series of long exposures just after the sun had dipped below the horizon. I love the soft pastels in this image and the way the surf and sand seamlessly blend together. It captures the mood more than the view, and to me, this is exactly what Belongil Beach feels like.
