This image was captured a few years ago while I was in Brisbane for the Epson AIPP State photography awards. The judging had finished for the day and there were a few hours before the night's festivities were due to begin, so I made my way down to Kangaroo Point to capture a sunset shot of the city. I veered off the path, through bush and scrub in what appeared like an area that no one would have trekked before, and to my surprise, when I reached the banks of the river, there was a very comfortable deck chair sitting there waiting for me. So, I set up my gear and spent a very relaxing hour or so watching the sunset and capturing the amazing colour in the sky and the lights of Brisbane as the day faded into night.
