Another beautiful morning in Lennox Head. As a child, Lennox was always my 'happy place'. My family would camp at Lake Ainsworth for a month or so every Christmas and it was the destination for many weekend journeys throughout the year. To now be living here and raising my own children in this wonderful community, truly is a dream come true.

This image was shot almost half an hour before sunrise. It was so dark that I could barely see the rock in front of me. Using a long, three minute exposure, I was able to capture all the gorgeous soft tones of the pre-dawn light before the harsh sunlight cut through the pastels. Sitting, watching the early light slowly fill the skies, is such a relaxing way to start the day... and I can think of no better place than right here to do it.
