Beautiful Lennox Head. As I write this, I am sitting on my front deck, watching whales breach off the headland at Boulder Beach. One in particular seems to be putting on quite a show for the trailing sight-seeing boat. I’m a fair way off, so I can’t make out much more than the frequent splashes, but just knowing they are there is somehow very comforting.

Earlier today I went for a walk with my family to the headland. Along the way we watched many other whales breaching and half a dozen or so para-gliders hovering around the headland. After spending more than twenty years in the city, I question now what took me so long to return to this gorgeous part of the world. Whatever it was, I am so happy we are now settled in Lennox and even happier that this will be the place that my children will forever consider to be ‘home’.

This shot of Lennox Point was taken just as the morning sun crossed the horison. The Point is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Lennox and the centre of much of the community’s leisure and sporting activities. Famous for its world-class surf break and a hot spot for hang-gliders and para-gliders when the North-Easterly winds are blowing, it is also a very popular destination for tourists and locals alike to relax and watch the sun rise or set every day of the year.
