This was day three in Acadia National Park. There were hoards of photographers everywhere and I’d probably be a little annoyed if I wasn’t one of them. Tourist buses circle the park and make regular stops at the most popular locations. You can really tell that this is the peak of the season. Although I’ve only been here a couple of days, you can notice the changing of the colours. What was green when I arrived is now yellow and orange, and what was yellow upon my arrival is already starting to turn brown. I’m guessing within a week the entire landscape will look completely different.

On the way out of Acadia National Park, the trees around Upper Hadlock Pond were putting on an incredible display of colour. Some of my favourite images from my time here were captured just minutes before leaving. This particular image is at the very top of my list.
