The sunrise shoot I had planned following our night in San Quirico d'Orcia was spoiled by the lack of a sunrise. Podere Belvedere is a bit of a photography hotspot and at the location there were a few of us all hoping for the clouds to part. Volker, a German photographer I was chatting to, told me of a cute little tree further down the road that may be a better subject at that time. On inspecting the second location, it wasn't that much better, so I finally decided to abandon the shoot and head back to the hotel for breakfast. As I was driving to find a place to turn around, this appeared on the horizon and I quickly pulled off the road to capture it.
